Day Eleven

Day Eleven

I am so thankful that you have chosen to join us on this journey. Over the next 40 days we are going to be looking at God’s Word and letting it guide our prayer. We believe that God has big things in store for SBC. God is going to use these next 40 days to challenge us and lead us to be a more faithful church. I hope that you will be prayerful and pray for big things!

Read: John 9

I love this story in the Gospel of John. There is so much that we can take from this passage. The verse that I want to really examine is found in verse 3.

John 9:3 “Jesus answered, “it was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

Jesus said that the trials that this man faced were for the glory of God. That God would use this mans life to bring Him glory. Friends this is something that we need to embrace and be thankful for. When you look at anything in your life you must begin by asking the question, how can this bring God glory? How is God using this to bring Glory to His name?

We are facing a unique time in our culture. People are fearful. People are in panic. This is a time that we can look and ask the question, how are we to bring Him glory? We can use this time to remind people that God is in control! God is Lord! Take this opportunity to share the good news of Christ!

Adoration- Praise God today that nothing happens outside of the control of God! He is Lord and He is going to bring himself glory!

Confession- Confess your fear and your struggle. Confess to Him your dependence on Him! Confess your need for Him!

Thanksgiving-  Thank God that He is in control. During this time we can not be more thankful that we have a God that is in control and loving! We must not be in fear but in all things seeking Him.

Supplication- Pray that you would be able to have the opportunity to share the Gospel during this time. That God would use this time in our culture to bring hope! Pray that you would be a light and faithful witness.

Are you inviting them?

Thank you again.

Aaron
