Day Nine.

Day Nine.

I am so thankful that you have chosen to join us on this journey. Over the next 40 days we are going to be looking at God’s Word and letting it guide our prayer. We believe that God has big things in store for SBC. God is going to use these next 40 days to challenge us and lead us to be a more faithful church. I hope that you will be prayerful and pray for big things!

Read: John 7

You are either for me or you are against me was the tension in the air. There were many at this feast that were convinced that Jesus was leading the people astray. There were others that were not so sure, and others believing that this was possibly be the Christ. This is something that we often see today.

Recently I read an article by Paul David Tripp that talked about functional Atheism. That there are people that claim to be believers in Christ and yet their lives do not reflect it. Barna research did a poll and found that most young people believe that God is real but that He simply wants them to be happy and nice. That everyone is going to heaven, they just need to be happy and nice. This is sad to me, but how many in the church believe the same thing? Jesus was not simply a great teacher, He is Lord. Jesus says that He is the way, the truth and the life. He said I am the bread of life. I am the living water. These are bold statements.

As believers we must be willing to bring others before such a strong and powerful Lord. He is kind. He is loving. He is gracious. Will you not introduce your lost sheep to Him?

Adoration– Praise God today for holding the world in His hands. That He is living and active. We have a God that knows and sees all.

Confession- Confess to God the times that your live as He doesn’t exist. Confess your need for Him.

Thanksgiving-  Today be thankful that the Lord has saved you. Be thankful that He loves you. Be thankful that He is the giver of life and salvation.

Supplication- Today pray that you will be bold in sharing your story with your lost sheep. Pray that you would be willing and able to share the hope of life to them. Pray that they will experience the good news of Christ!

Are you inviting them?

Thank you again.

Aaron
